Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, deploy, and manage on-premise infrastructure for public-safety applications. You will own the greenfield and existing clusters, focusing on automation, security, and high availability in bare-metal and virtualized environments.

You will lead complex projects, mentor teammates, and ensure platforms run with robust automation using Ansible, Python, and GitOps workflows across private data centers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Systems/Platform/SRE with focus on on-premise environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end deployment of RedHat OpenShift and Kubernetes clusters on private hardware.
• Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code pipelines to automate provisioning and deployment.
• Serve as escalation point for complex networking, storage, or container orchestration issues.
• Implement CIS hardening and secure configurations for air-gapped on-premise environments.
• Tune Linux kernel parameters and network settings for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and review code/configuration thoroughly.
