Job summary

Xebia is seeking an experienced Senior Node.js Developer to drive architectural decisions and deliver scalable features for our Commercial Data Manager, bridging internal services and HubSpot. You will own technical decisions, lead discussions, and collaborate with Engineers, Product, and Business stakeholders.

The role combines core engineering (about 70%) with HubSpot-related work (about 30%), and involves contributing to Agentic AI initiatives while mentoring colleagues.

About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Node.js Developer who combines strong engineering skills with architectural expertise, a proactive mindset and the ability to drive technical discussions across teams.

You will be working primarily on our proprietary Commercial Data Manager, a system acting as a bridge between our internal services and HubSpot. Your work will involve maintaining and evolving the existing solution, developing new features and collaborating with Commercial and Engineering teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

This role goes beyond implementation. You will be taking ownership of technical decisions, leading discussions with engineers, product teams and business stakeholders, identifying dependencies and driving solutions from architectural design through implementation.

You will also be working closely with HubSpot, contributing to feature development and reviews, and ensuring that new solutions align with the wider Legend ecosystem. The role will be split approximately 70% on core engineering and 30% on HubSpot-related work.

You will be:

• designing, architecting and implementing scalable, maintainable solutions aligned with the wider system architecture,
• leading technical discussions with engineering teams, product managers and business stakeholders to define requirements, evaluate options and agree on the best approach,
• translating business needs into technical designs, identifying dependencies and driving implementation from concept to delivery,
• developing and integrating features involving HubSpot, ensuring they fit into the wider Legend ecosystem,
• participating in technical and architectural reviews, challenging existing approaches and identifying opportunities for improvement,
• contributing to the development and integration of Agentic AI solutions,
• supporting and mentoring other engineers, sharing knowledge and helping the team grow,
• collaborating across technical and non-technical teams to ensure solutions deliver meaningful business value.

Your profile:

• experience working with GitHub and GitHub Actions,
• a good understanding of HubSpot and its capabilities, APIs and integrations,
• hands-on experience working with Agentic AI, including an understanding of how agent-based solutions can be designed and implemented,
• proven ability to lead technical discussions and collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders,
• experience mentoring and supporting other engineers,
• strong system design and software architecture skills, with the ability to make sound technical decisions and explain them clearly,
• a proactive, ownership-driven approach to problem-solving and delivering solutions,
• practical experience using AI-powered assistants (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot Chat, or similar) to improve productivity, quality, or decision‑making in analysis and software delivery.

Work from the European Union region and a work permit are required.

Nice to have:

• DevOps knowledge and experience,
• experience with Kafka and event streaming,
• previous experience in the gaming or affiliate marketing industry,
• experience applying GenAI in a more structured way within the SDLC, including defined workflows, prompt patterns, or tool integrations embedded into daily analytical and documentation work,
• interest in and familiarity with emerging AI-driven practices (e.g. automation of analysis tasks, AI-supported documentation, or workflow optimization), with a willingness to explore and experiment beyond standard approaches.
