Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a 24x7 team supporting large-scale network infrastructure in a remote-capable Poland role. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and improve reliability, performance, and security across the network, with a night shift from 18:00 to 2:00.

You will design and maintain alerts, runbooks, dashboards, and operational tools, leading critical incident response and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure service excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience operating large-scale network environments.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
• Strong expertise in IP networking, routing and switching; CCNA, JNCIA or equivalent desirable.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting service provider networks and Internet routing protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS).
• Experience writing, modifying, and troubleshooting SQL queries.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining alerts, runbooks, dashboards, and monitoring solutions to enhance fault detection and operational visibility effectively.
• Developing and maintaining operational tools, automation, and documentation to support extensive network infrastructure.
