Job summary

CoreWeave Europe is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate large-scale data center networks across multiple sites. You will lead automation-driven deployments, validate readiness, and troubleshoot complex control and data plane issues, including optics and cabling.

The role requires 7+ years in network engineering, deep BGP knowledge, and experience with spine-leaf fabrics. Collaboration with DC ops and engineering teams is essential for reliable, scalable production

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Experience managing data center network fabrics (Clos / spine-leaf).
• Deep understanding of BGP (required), EVPN / VXLAN (preferred).
• Experience deploying or operating large-scale network infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of automation and scripting (Python preferred).
• Strong troubleshooting across multiple layers (L1-L3+).
• Experience with network hardware and optics/cabling.

What You’ll Do:

CoreWeave is looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our rapidly growing Data Center Network Engineering Team. This role is focused on deploying, scaling, and operating large-scale data center network infrastructure. The team is responsible for bringing new network capacity online across data centers and ensuring the network is stable, reliable, and ready to support production workloads.

About the role:

• Quickly adapt to a rapidly changing environment and learn new emerging networking technologies
• Design and deploy consistent large scale networks rapidly, leveraging automation
• Plan, deploy, operate, and scale multi-tier data center network fabrics (Clos / spine-leaf) across multiple data centers
• Drive end-to-end network deployments, including:
  • Rack layout planning
  • Cabling and optics validation
  • Configuration generation and deployment
  • Post-deployment validation and testing
• Work closely with data center technicians (DCTs) to execute builds (rack, cable, power, optics)
• Validate network readiness before handing off to production traffic
• Troubleshoot complex issues across:
  • Control plane (BGP, routing policies)
  • Data plane (ECMP, packet loss, latency)
  • Physical layer (interfaces, optics, cabling)
• Perform network changes and deployments with a strong focus on:
  • Blast radius awareness
  • Rollback planning
  • Operational safety
• Participate in peer reviews, design discussions, and architectural decisions
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and deployment procedures
• Partner with internal teams (automation, DC ops, engineering) to improve deployment workflows
• Share your knowledge and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Who You Are:

• 7+ years of experience in network engineering
• Experience managing data center network fabrics (Clos / spine-leaf)
• Deep understanding of:
  • BGP (required)
  • EVPN / VXLAN (preferred)
  • Routing and switching fundamentals
• Experience deploying or operating large-scale network infrastructure
• Working knowledge of automation and scripting (Python preferred) for tasks such as configuration generation, validation, and operational troubleshooting
• Strong troubleshooting skills across multiple layers (L1-L3+)
• Experience working with:
  • Network hardware (routers, switches)
  • Optics and cabling (e.g., QSFP, fiber)
• Experience managing or driving deployments with remote hands / data center technicians

Preferred:

• Experience with multi-site or multi-region data center deployments
• Familiarity with capacity planning and scaling network infrastructure
• Experience with network monitoring and observability tools
• Basic scripting ability (Python preferred) for Validation, Configuration generation, Troubleshooting
• Experience working in hyperscale or large distributed environments
