Job summary

Wlgroup seeks a senior network engineer to manage a complex, multi-domain environment with mission-critical services and strict change windows. You will design, configure, and maintain routing infrastructure for exercise scenarios and operations, while owning SOPs and the change process.

The role emphasizes leadership in incident resolution, continuous improvement, and cross-site coordination, with on-site work in Bydgoszcz, Poland. A CCNP certification and deep BGP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with two years of relevant experience, or eight years of senior-level work.
• Eight+ years in complex enterprise network engineering roles.
• Experience designing and supporting scalable networks using BGP, MPLS, IPv6, OSPF, IS-IS, IP multicast and SD-WAN.
• Active CCNP certification (Enterprise or Service Provider) is required.
• Deep BGP knowledge: route reflectors, confederations, communities, path manipulation and filtering.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced level three support across complex enterprise network environments.
• Lead the technical resolution of high-impact, high-severity incidents.
• Analyse recurring issues in depth and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Help shape and deliver network improvements and new build work, from design to change window.
• Ensure technical correctness and minimal service impact during changes and deployments according to the change process.
• Perform remote routine maintenance on routing and switching elements across sites.
• Coordinate centralisation, standardisation and best practice for routing and switching.
• Create and maintain the standard operating procedures.
• Design, configure and maintain routing infrastructure for exercise scenarios and operations.
• Coordinate on-site surveys, validation and acceptance testing into the routing infrastructure.
• Keep the technical documentation accurate and share learnings with the team.
