Job summary

Rockwell Automation is seeking a Senior Network Architect to design and evolve our global network. You will lead end-to-end architecture for on-prem and hybrid cloud, focusing on scalable, secure, and automated platforms with network-as-code.

You will bring 8+ years in large-scale enterprise networking and hands-on Cisco, Palo Alto, and F5 expertise, guiding architecture decisions in a hybrid Katowice-based setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience designing and operating large-scale enterprise networks.
• Deep expertise in enterprise networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco networking, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5 load balancing.
• Proven experience designing production-ready network architectures.
• Strong understanding of network lifecycle management and platform evolution.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end network architecture across planning, design, deployment, modernization, and retirement.
• Define and maintain global network architecture standards and reference designs.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient network solutions across on-prem and hybrid cloud environments.
• Drive adoption of network automation and network-as-code, including CI/CD-based deployment models.
• Partner with engineering and operations teams to automate configuration, deployment, upgrades, and lifecycle activities.
• Develop and maintain high-level and detailed network architecture diagrams and documentation.
• Serve as senior technical authority for complex design decisions and architectural tradeoffs.
• Lead proactive lifecycle activities such as software currency, bug remediation, and platform modernization.
• Participate in complex troubleshooting and root cause analysis for critical network issues.
• Collaborate closely with Network Security to ensure architectures meet security, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Advocate best practices and mentor engineers in modern network architecture and automation approaches.
