Job summary

The Stepstone Group's Apply domain is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II to own complex backend challenges built primarily on .NET Core. This is a senior individual contributor role where you will act as a hands-on technical anchor, shaping architectural solutions while building them together with the team.

Working in the Apply domain, you will solve ambiguous technical problems with low to moderate supervision, choose or adapt the right approach, and help teams connect engineering solutions

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core, SQL, AWS, and building scalable microservices/event-driven architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical initiatives within the team and support cross-team engineering efforts.
• Design and implement architectural solutions, remaining hands-on throughout delivery while ensuring code quality and modern software delivery standards.
• Identify technical risks and optimization opportunities, recommending and justifying the most effective solutions.
• Mentor and coach engineers, contributing to technical reviews, hiring, and promotion processes.
• Drive knowledge sharing across the engineering organization through Communities of Practice and communicate technical decisions and trade-offs to stakeholders.
