Job summary

The Stepstone Group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer II to own complex backend challenges in the Apply domain, built on .NET Core. You will mentor teammates, shape architectural solutions, and stay hands-on throughout delivery to ensure quality and modern software delivery practices.

In this role you’ll solve ambiguous problems with minimal supervision, align technical work with business needs, and contribute to initiatives beyond your own team while advancing the payroll of a global

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with .NET Core and SQL databases.
Experience building scalable microservices and event-driven architectures.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Familiarity with AWS cloud services and async messaging patterns.

Responsibilities

Lead technical initiatives within the team and support cross-team engineering efforts.
Design and implement architectural solutions while remaining hands-on.
Mentor engineers and contribute to technical reviews and hiring processes.
Communicate decisions and trade-offs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
