Hitachi Energy Poland is seeking a senior software engineer to contribute to scalable backend systems and modern .NET applications. You’ll work with engineers, architects, and product stakeholders to shape solutions across our organization.

With 8+ years of experience, you’ll design secure software, build REST APIs, and advance CI/CD in Azure DevOps while pursuing cloud-native patterns and strong observability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in C# and modern .NET.
• Experience building enterprise-grade applications and backend services.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
• Hands‑on experience developing REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of SQL Server and Entity Framework.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of software quality, reliability, and operational readiness.
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools is an advantage.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI or Semantic Kernel is a plus.
• Confident communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop applications using C# and modern .NET.
• Build scalable backend services and REST APIs.
• Define software architecture, engineering standards, and development practices.
• Design secure, maintainable, and resilient software solutions.
• Implement integrations with enterprise platforms and services.
• Influence technology choices and architectural decisions.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation within Azure DevOps.
• Develop cloud-native solutions running on Microsoft Azure.
• Improve observability using Application Insights, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana.
• Strengthen reliability through monitoring, diagnostics, and operational practices.
• Embed quality and testability within solution design and development.
• Explore Azure OpenAI and Semantic Kernel for engineering applications.
