Job summary

GlobalLogic in Wrocław is seeking a senior backend engineer to advance a hybrid .NET 8 microservices platform. You will design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable services in C# and ASP.NET Core, working across monoliths and distributed components.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensure high availability in regulated environments, and contribute to data modeling (EF Core, SQL Server) and cloud deployment (Azure).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in backend software engineering with C# and ASP.NET Core/.NET 8.
• Experience in hybrid monolith + microservices architectures.
• Design and optimize scalable RESTful APIs.
• Deep data modeling with EF Core and SQL Server / Azure SQL.
• Exposure to event-driven systems (Azure Service Bus, Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Regulated/high-availability environments experience and strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable backend services in C#/.NET 8.
• Develop and optimize REST APIs for modern frontends (e.g., Blazor/WASM).
• Model data and optimize queries with EF Core and SQL Server.
• Deploy, monitor, and ensure reliability in Azure-based environments.
• Participate in architecture discussions and drive quality improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multinational Agile setup.

As the European market leader in the prison sector, they has been developing, installing, and operating secure communication and media systems for over 25 years, making an essential contribution to resocialization in correctional facilities globally.
• Product Ecosystem: You will contribute to the development of a secure, high-availabilitydigital communication portaldesigned for regulated environments. This portal enables secure communication services—including the sending ofdigital letters, voice messages, and photos – and integrates into broader ecosystem of security control systems, billing/financial modules, and access control devices (such as set-top boxes, kiosks, and tablets).
• Engineering Environment: The development team is executing a high-ambitionengineering transformation, modernizing legacy systems into a modern C#/.NET 8 microservices ecosystem. The backend combines a .NET 8 monolith with microservices backed by SQL Server and hosted in hybrid cloud (Azure) environments.

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum5+ years of commercial software engineering experience, with a primary focus on backend development usingC#andASP.NET Core / .NET 8.
• Architectural Balance: Proven experience working within hybrid architectures that combine amonolithic .NET backendwith a distributedmicroservices architecture.
• API & Integration: Proven expertise in designing, building, and optimizing scalable, secureRESTful APIs.
• Data Access: Deep expertise in data modeling, database design, and query optimization usingEntity Framework Core (EF Core)andSQL Server / Azure SQL Database.
• Ecosystem & Messaging: Exposure to event-driven systems and distributed messaging (such asAzure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ).
• Regulated Environments: Experience working on secure, high-availability platforms with strict regulatory or mission-critical requirements.
• Communication & Collaboration:Excellent written and spoken Englishskills, with a collaborative engineering mindset for cross-team alignment in a multinational Agile environment.

Job responsibilities

• Backend & Microservices Engineering: Design, implement, and maintain highly reliable, secure, and scalable backend services usingC# and .NET 8across both monolithic and microservices layers.
• API Optimization: Develop and tune high-performanceREST APIsspecifically optimized to be consumed by modern client interfaces likeBlazor WebAssemblyweb frontends.
• Database Management: Develop and maintain robust data models and write optimized queries withEntity Framework CoreandSQL Server.
• Cloud Deployment & Monitoring: Deploy, monitor, and ensure the reliability of backend services hosted onAzure Cloud(such as Azure App Services and Azure SQL Database).
• Architecture & Quality: Actively participate in architectural discussions, contributing to system scalability, performance improvements, and domain-driven design (DDD) best practices.
• Collaboration: Cooperate closely with cross-functional distributed teams (including full-stack developers, frontend Blazor engineers, QA, DevOps, and Product).
