Qualifications

• 3–5 years of mobile development experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to and maintain Client’s mobile application codebase.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain mobile features per product requirements.
• Deliver updates, fixes, and improve code quality.
• Integrate backend services and APIs to support mobile functionality.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, QA and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end features.
• Investigate and resolve performance issues and production bugs.
• Follow coding standards and architecture patterns in the codebase.
• Participate in code reviews and improve maintainability and reliability.
• Ensure functionality works across devices and OS versions.
• Support continuous improvement of mobile development processes and tooling.

We are developing anapp for themotor partner personal insurance for one of the largest UK insurance companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. We're looking for a mature mobile developer to join our distributed team.

Focus: Android-led Mobile Development (Native Kotlin & Swift) + API / Python integrations

Requirements

Primary Mobile Capabilities:

• Android (Primary): Strong native Android development expertise using Kotlin (and Java legacy knowledge where applicable).
• iOS (Secondary/Cross-functional): Working knowledge/experience with Swift for iOS support or cross-platform collaboration.

Backend & API Capabilities:

• Experience working with and developing RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with Python for API integrations, backend services, or scripting support.

Good level of English

Job responsibilities

• Contribute to and maintainClient’s existing mobile application codebase.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain mobile features in line with product requirements.
• Deliver regular updates, improvements, and bug fixes while maintaining a high standard of code quality.
