Job summary

GlobalLogic Inc. is seeking backend developers to build and maintain AWS-based microservices for a UK insurance client. You will implement business logic for policy management, including invoicing, payments, pricing, and renewals, using Python and modern cloud patterns.

Responsibilities include clean code, architecture contributions, CI/CD improvements, security discussions, and sprint planning with code reviews. English communication with the customer is required.

Qualifications

• Programming: Python 3.9, pytest, behave, boto3, IDE: VSCode
• Strong experience working with microservice architecture
• Solid experience with AWS: API Gateway, CLI, Console, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, EventBridge, IAM, Lambda, SAM
• Secrets Manager, Step Functions, Systems Manager
• Solid experience with REST APIs: Stripe, Rapid7, Swagger/OpenAPI 3.x
• Source control: Git, BitBucket
• Code review/analysis (Bitbucket, Codacy)
• Issue and project tracking (JIRA, Confluence, Miro)
• Good level ofEnglish for daily interaction with the customer

AWS, Microservices, Python, REST APIs, Serverless Architecture

We are developing an interface into motor partner personal insurance for one of the largest UK insurance companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. We are building our system using a combination of modern Front-end technologies, microservices architecture, proven integration patterns and AWS Cloud.

The scope of work is back-end development focused on implementation, testing and maintenance of new features and legacy code base, in particular full policy management cycle including: invoicing, payment intents and chasing, pricing, amendments, premium overrides, policy renewals and cancellations.
