Job summary

HelloFresh in Warsaw (HelloTech) is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Product Engineer to own production ML systems that guard against checkout fraud and enable reliable payment recovery across markets. You will scale predictive models to low-latency scoring on Databricks, balancing risk with a frictionless customer experience in an AI-first engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AI tooling and AI agents in daily work.
• 5+ years producing ML systems in high-traffic cloud environments.
• Strong Python/SQL skills and PySpark on Databricks.
• Cloud & MLOps proficiency with AWS and CI/CD pipelines.
• Pragmatic product mindset with ability to ship.
• Experience operating production data models and metrics.
• Ownership mindset; able to drive end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to fuse data, ML and product thinking with data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and operate real-time ML systems with low latency.
• Build data pipelines and inference workflows on Databricks, Kafka, Airflow.
• Migrate feature stores and model serving to Databricks online/offline.
• Lead Smart Payment Retry engine delivery with ML-backed policies.
• Establish modern MLOps: CI/CD, model registry, validation gates.
• Implement monitoring, drift detection, shadow deployments, kill switches.
• Collaborate with data scientists; mentor on system design and AI workflows.
• Operate what you build and ship iteratively with measurable impact.
