Databout sp. z o.o. w Warszawie poszukuje doświadczonego Senior Mechanical Design Engineer do zespołu Water Engineering.

Będziesz prowadzić mechaniczny projekt rurociągów, instalacji uzdatniania wody i sieci wodociągowej, koordynować prace z zespołem wielodyscyplinarnym i wspierać projektowanie zgodne z normami. Wymagany tytuł inżyniera mechanika, CEng lub w trakcie, oraz 5–7 lat doświadczenia w projektowaniu mechanical w sektorze wodnym.

Qualifications

• Stopnie i tytuły zawodowe wymagane: inżynieria mechaniczna (BEng/MEng).
• CEng lub dążenie do Chartership (IMechE lub równoważny).
• 5–7 lat doświadczenia w projektowaniu mechanicznego w wodnym/ściekowych infrastrukturach.

Responsibilities

• Prowadzenie i koordynacja mechanicznego projektu instalacji wodnych i ściekowych.
• Przygotowywanie i weryfikacja dokumentów projektowych (specyfikacje, obliczenia, dane techniczne, P&ID, rysunki GA, zestawienia wyposażenia).
• Zapewnienie zgodności projektów z normami i przepisami (CDM, WIMES, BS/EN, PED).
• Współpraca z inżynierią civilną, elektryczną i procesową w interdyscyplinarnych rozwiązaniach.
• Zapewnienie liderowania technicznego i mentorstwa młodszym inżynierom.
• Wspieranie przeglądów projektów, ocen HAZOP/HAZCON i studiów opcji.
• Współpraca z dostawcami i subkontraktami w zakresie wyboru i integracji urządzeń.
• Zarządzanie dostawcami projektów pod kątem czasu, kosztów i jakości.
• Udział w propozycjach projektów, szacowaniach i prezentacjach klientom.

Senior Mechanical Engineer – Water

Your responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the mechanical design of water and wastewater assets including treatment plants, pumping stations, and associated process systems.
• Prepare and check design deliverables such as specifications, calculations, datasheets, P&IDs, GA drawings, and equipment schedules.
• Ensure designs comply with client specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (including CDM, WIMES, BS/EN standards).
• Work collaboratively with civil, electrical, and process engineers to develop integrated multidisciplinary design solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
• Support design reviews, HAZOP/HAZCON assessments, and optioneering studies.
• Interface with suppliers and subcontractors for equipment selection, specification, and integration.
• Manage design deliverables within agreed time, cost, and quality targets.
• Contribute to project proposals, estimations, and client presentations when required.

Our requirements

• Degree (BEng/MEng) in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards Chartership with the IMechE or equivalent.
• Considerable post graduate experience in the mechanical design of water/wastewater infrastructure projects within consultancy or contractor design offices.
• Strong understanding of pumps, pipework, valves, screens, mixers, and process plant design.
• Knowledge of relevant standards such as WIMES, BS EN 806, and Pressure Equipment Directive (PED).
• Proficient in mechanical design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar 3D design platforms).
• Experience producing and reviewing mechanical design calculations and reports.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Good understanding of CDM Regulations and safe design principles.
• Minimum years of service: 5 years preferred 7 years.

Optional

• Experience working under UK water company frameworks (AMP7/AMP8).
• Familiarity with BIM processes and digital delivery tools.
• Awareness of sustainability and carbon-reduction principles in design.
• Previous experience mentoring graduate engineers or managing small design teams.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Water Engineering team, delivering innovative and sustainable design solutions for clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will take a lead role in the mechanical design and technical delivery of treatment works, pumping stations, and network infrastructure projects under UK water industry frameworks.

This position focuses on office-based design and coordination (not site or commissioning), although periodic site visits may be required to support surveys and design reviews.
