Job summary
Vidha IT Solutions LLC is seeking a Senior Mainframe Engineer to design, implement, and support automation across z/OS subsystems including CICS, Db2, IMS, and JMS, leveraging IBM System Automation and NetView. You will develop REXX automation, manage OMEGAMON integrations, and guide teams in best practices for scalable reliability.
The role is remote with potential on-site collaboration in Merrifield, VA as needed; candidates must have strong communication skills and willingness to participate
Qualifications
- Expert-level IBM System Automation for z/OS experience.
- Advanced REXX programming for automation solutions.
- Strong knowledge of IBM NetView and automation components.
- Experience with CICS, Db2, IMS, JES2/JES3, MQ, TCP/IP.
- Automation design for startup/shutdown and health monitoring.
- Proven ability to lead automation initiatives.
- Familiarity with z/OS UNIX and shell scripting.
- Experience with OMEGAMON and monitoring customization.
- Ability to communicate complex automation to teams.
- Experience in on-call rotations and mentoring others.
