Kyndryl Inc. is seeking a Senior Lead Data Scientist to join the People Workforce Analytics team. You will build and maintain AI agents and natural-language HR data tools, bridging complex business problems with scalable data engineering and AI solutions.

In a startup-like, hybrid environment, you will collaborate with global teams, own end-to-end ML pipelines, and advance MLOps practices to production. This role emphasizes impact, learning, and cross-functional growth.

Formación

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for data pipelines and ML models.
• Experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Proven hands-on experience building REST APIs, backend microservices, and system integrations between enterprise cloud applications like Workday and Power Apps.
• Deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle from data extraction to deployment, monitoring and MLOps governance.
• Practical expertise with Git, Docker, automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.

The Role

Your role As a Full-Stack Senior Lead Data Scientist at Kyndryl, you will join the People Workforce Analytics team to build innovative internal solutions for our HR organization. Your primary focus will be developing and maintaining our AI agent and building a natural language data agent on Data Fabric for HR reporting queries. Working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment, you will bridge the gap between complex business problems and actionable solutions using a powerful blend of data engineering, AI specialization, and data science.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and deploy end-to-end full-stack data science and AI solutions, with a primary focus on developing the AI agent and natural language HR reporting tools.
• Architect and deploy scalable solutions using Microsoft Azure cloud services, integrating various enterprise data sources such as Workday and Power Apps.
• Collaborate globally with distributed teams across the US, Costa Rica, UK, and India, adjusting your working schedule to support daily alignment with US East Coast stakeholders.
• Partner closely with data engineers and business leaders to develop scalable data pipelines, REST APIs, and backend services that operationalize machine learning and AI workloads.
• Apply modern software engineering and machine learning engineering (MLOps) practices to reliably move models from development into production.

Who You Are

Required skills and experience

• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL for developing production-grade data pipelines, backend services, and machine learning models.
• Demonstrated experience designing, building, and deploying scalable cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure services.
• Proven hands-on experience building REST APIs, backend microservices, and system integrations between enterprise cloud applications (e.g., Workday, Microsoft Power Apps).
• Deep understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle, from data extraction and model training to deployment, monitoring, and MLOps governance.
• Practical expertise with software engineering best practices, including Git version control, containerization (such as Docker), automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated willingness and flexibility to adjust working hours into the evening (typically until 18:00–19:00 CET) for real-time collaboration with US East Coast and Latin American teams.

Preferred skills and experience

• Prior professional experience in management or technology consulting, with demonstrated ability to quickly unpack complex business processes.
• Background in a high-growth startup or agile team environment building greenfield technical solutions with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with enterprise Data Fabric concepts or human resources data architectures.
