In this role, you will collaborate closely with our game designers, product teams, and client developers to deliver industry-leading gaming experiences to players globally.
- Design, implement, and optimize highly transactional, scalable, and low-latency server-side game services and APIs using Modern Java (Java 17/21+) to handle high-concurrency transactions and game states.
- Work directly with domain experts and mathematicians to translate mathematical specifications and formulas into extremely performant and scalable backend services.
- Collaborate to standardize core calculation logic and business rules into reusable backend components.
- Drive clean design patterns to build robust and highly maintainable core service layers, with a strong focus on high-throughput performance.
- Actively participate in code reviews, share best practices, and support the team’s growth.
- Build, scale, and maintain high-volume simulation frameworks in Modern Java to run calculations at scale.
- Focus on writing unit tests, optimizing service performance, and ensuring high-quality, reliable, and performant backend services.
- 4+ years of professional software development experience, with expert-level proficiency in Modern Java (Java 17/21+).
- Proven experience designing, building, and optimizing distributed and high-throughput backend services.
- Academic or practical background in probability, statistics, or general mathematical modeling.
- Familiarity with scripting languages for data verification, automation, or validation pipelines.
- Database optimization experience.
