Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a senior Java developer to design, build and maintain scalable microservices on the Collateral platform using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot. You will contribute across the full development lifecycle, applying DevOps and Agile practices to boost team velocity and quality.

You’ll work with QA, mentor juniors, resolve incidents, and create automation to improve efficiency, translating business requirements into robust technical solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
• Proficiency in Java 17/21 and Spring Boot for microservices development.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and DevSecOps pipeline setup/maintenance.
• 3+ years of experience in Agile and/or DevOps teams.
• Experience with TDD (JUnit, integration tests, regression tests, Cucumber) in CI environments.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive learning attitude.
• Track record of delivering significant projects from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices for the Collateral platform using Java 17/21 and Spring Boot.
• Contribute across the full development lifecycle, from conception to deployment.
• Apply DevOps and Agile principles to streamline development and improve team velocity.
• Ensure TDD with JUnit, integration tests, regression tests, and Cucumber for end-to-end testing.
• Collaborate with QA to enhance code quality and efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and drive innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Support the platform via incident resolution, monitoring, and problem management.
• Develop automated tools to improve operational efficiency and support functions.
• Translate functional requirements into technical solutions.
