Job summary

Allegro Ltd. in Toruń is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Java/Kotlin) to join the Razor team. You will design and optimize backend services handling the checkout and purchase path, serving thousands of requests per second in a high-availability environment.

You’ll work in a cloud-native setup on GCP with Java, Kotlin, Spring, and MongoDB, taking ownership of microservices from design to deployment and collaborating with product managers on business initiatives. Hybrid work is supported.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in building and maintaining complex, high-scalability systems.
• Proficiency in Java (primary) and Kotlin, with a focus on reactive programming.
• Advanced MongoDB knowledge is a plus.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers and analyzing business requirements.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and own services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize high-scale, high-availability systems.
• Work in a cloud-native environment (GCP) using Java, Kotlin, Spring, and MongoDB.
• Own services from design to deployment with a team.
• Collaborate with PMs on requirements and business initiatives.
