You will design, build, and operate distributed Java services powering real-time sports data and betting products, collaborating with global partners to deliver reliable, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience with strong Java expertise.
• Ability to design and deliver distributed systems in production.
• Own complex initiatives from architecture decisions to post-incident reviews.
• Mentor others and perform actionable technical reviews.
• Deep understanding of testing, CI/CD, and engineering excellence.
• Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with AWS, Kafka, Kubernetes, and microservices at scale is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate scalable, high-performance Java services for sports data and betting products running 24/7
• Take independent ownership of complex technical initiatives from design to production delivery
• Contribute to cloud-native architecture on AWS, bringing experience and judgment to decisions that affect the whole platform
• Mentor engineers around you - through code review, pairing, and the kind of feedback that actually helps people grow
• Drive improvements to code quality, test coverage, engineering practices, and team standards
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership on technical direction - and push back constructively when it matters
• Build expertise in one of the most technically demanding real-time data environments in the industry
