Job summary

DCG is seeking a Java software engineer to design, develop and test components of the Transfer Agency Investor Onboarding system. You will collaborate with business analysts to align user stories and acceptance criteria and integrate in-house solutions with vendor systems.

You will resolve issues in test and production, enhance technical specs and data models, participate in design and UAT testing, and help create deployment scripts.

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science.
• Strong OOP and design patterns knowledge.
• Knowledge and application of SOLID in practice.
• Hands-on Java with Spring MVC/Spring Boot, JMS, JPA, JAX-WS/JAX-RS.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP, REST).
• Understanding of data modeling principles.
• Ability to write clean, modular, testable code.
• Design code for unit testing.
• Relational database knowledge.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluent English, comfortable on calls.
• Experience with agile software methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, development and testing of components of the Transfer Agency Investor Onboarding system
• Supporting business analysts in aligning user stories and acceptance criteria
• Integration of in-house systems with vendor solutions
• Resolve issues in test and production environments
• Enhance technical specifications and documentation including data modelling and dataflow diagrams
• Involvement in design and system/UAT testing
• Involvement in creating deployment and checkout scripts
• Collaborate with project managers, developers, testers across multiple teams and locations to meet business needs
