Citi is seeking an Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst in Warsaw. The role contributes to the design, development and support of critical application systems within a technology-driven team. You will lead analyses, coding, testing and deployment, while mentoring junior analysts.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in software development, strong Java, Oracle DB and MSSQL skills, plus experience with Kafka and IBM MQ. A collaborative, regulatory‑maware mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in software development, systems analysis, design, and application support.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Oracle Database, and Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL).
• Proficient in enterprise messaging technologies (Kafka, IBM MQ).
• Solid understanding of GitHub and source code management best practices.
• Experience delivering projects in complex environments and strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems.
• Oversee all development phases from analysis through testing, deployment and support.
• Analyze complex issues and deliver evaluative solutions respecting industry standards.
• Mentor junior analysts and act as SME for senior stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and manage control issues with transparency.
