Job summary

Accenture Poland is seeking a Java/Spring Boot developer to maintain and enhance applications on OpenShift, with a focus on security upgrades and incident resolution.

You will support cloud and mainframe-based systems, perform maintenance tasks, and collaborate across teams to tackle complex issues. The role offers flexible work location with on‑site and remote options, plus ongoing learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot development.
• Basic knowledge of COBOL and JCL, with willingness to further develop skills in mainframe technologies.
• Experience with DB2 and MS SQL Server 2019+.
• Knowledge of IBM zOS and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with REST APIs, Web Services, MQ, Tomcat Server, and networking technologies.
• Understanding of network security principles and certificate management.
• Familiarity with CI/CD lifecycle and tools such as Jenkins, Git, X-Ray, and SonarQube.
• Experience with containerization technologies including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform and Docker.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Readiness to learn new technologies and work across diverse technical domains.
• Availability to participate in a 24/7 on-call support rotation (additional compensation provided).

THE WORK

• Maintain and develop Java 17+ and Spring Boot applications running on OpenShift Container Platform, delivering security upgrades, defect resolution, testing, and minor enhancements while demonstrating a commitment to constant progress.
• Support cloud and mainframe-based online and batch applications, resolve technical incidents, answer business questions, and apply a proactive approach to skill enhancement across diverse technologies.
• Perform recurring maintenance activities, including certificate renewals, application patching, compliance checks, and audits, while being dedicated to ongoing improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex issues involving databases, middleware, networking, and security components, showcasing an insatiable curiosity for improvement.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes and platform reliability while remaining adaptable and open-minded, continuously learning new technologies and operational practices.

Flexible: The work location for this role may include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office depending on specific project circumstances.
