You will join a high-growth environment that values rapid learning, accountability, and impact. As a senior backend engineer, you’ll architect scalable systems, optimize data pipelines, and drive reliability using Java, PostgreSQL, and Kafka.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with Java and JVM internals.
• Strong system design capabilities with documentation and implementation of complex architectures.
• Advanced knowledge of relational databases, PostgreSQL, and performance tuning.
• Solid understanding of messaging concepts, ideally Kafka ecosystem.
• Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and leadership experience mentoring teams with stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex, scalable system architectures while mentoring team members and driving technical excellence.
• Lead code reviews and establish best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables across the engineering team.
• Optimize database performance and design robust data solutions, particularly with PostgreSQL and query optimization.
• Architect and maintain messaging systems using Kafka or similar technologies to handle high-volume data streams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, taking full ownership of system reliability and performance.
• Facilitate technical discussions and foster collaborative problem-solving across cross-functional teams.
