Job summary

This is a full-time role within Group Technology. Ideal candidates bring strong Java (17+), Spring Boot, microservices, SQL, and experience with messaging systems like Kafka or MQ.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot.
• Experience designing and building microservice-based systems.
• Solid knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
• Experience adapting AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) into development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing backend services using Java and Spring Boot in a modern microservices architecture
• Taking ownership of solution design and technical architecture for complex features and components
• Collaborating closely with business stakeholders and analysts to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions
• Driving adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering productivity
• Supporting the team with technical leadership, code quality practices, and modern engineering standards (TDD, design patterns, clean architecture)
