Job summary

Camlin is seeking a Senior full-stack Node.js Engineer in Kraków, Poland to develop embedded Linux applications for monitoring equipment in electrical networks. You will own complex technical outcomes, drive system design, and mentor other developers across the full software lifecycle.

You will lead architecture decisions, tackle ambiguous system-level problems, and collaborate with QA, DevOps, hardware, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions with robust CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of embedded Linux and IoT device software.
• Experience designing scalable RESTful APIs.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving in Linux environments.
• Ability to mentor engineers and improve code quality.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve microservice, REST API, and application architecture in line with reliability, maintainability, security, and performance requirements.
• Lead investigation and resolution of complex software and system issues on Linux-based embedded devices.
• Own technical planning for complex work, identify dependencies, and communicate delivery risks and trade-offs early.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and engineering workflows to support dependable, repeatable delivery.
• Set the testing approach for assigned capabilities and ensure effective unit, integration, and system-level coverage.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers through design discussions, pairing, and constructive code reviews.
• Drive coding standards, documentation, and engineering best practices across the team.
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, product, hardware, and other engineering teams to deliver coherent end-to-end solutions.
