Camlin in Kraków, Poland seeks a Junior Node.js Engineer to help develop embedded Linux applications for monitoring equipment in electrical networks. You will work under guidance to implement, test, and debug well-defined features for IoT embedded devices, gaining experience across the full software development lifecycle.

The role offers exposure to web technologies, CI/CD workflows, and collaboration with software engineers, QA, and DevOps.

Qualificações

• Understanding of web fundamentals and REST APIs.
• Basic Linux knowledge and comfort using the command line.
• Understanding of software development basics, source control, testing and debugging.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Responsabilidades

• Fix defects and assist with troubleshooting on Linux-based embedded systems.
• Write and maintain unit tests and contribute to integration and system testing.
• Learn to use and support the team’s CI/CD workflows.
• Collaborate with software engineers, QA, DevOps, and other engineering disciplines.
• Take part in code reviews, applying feedback to improve code quality and engineering skills.
• Maintain technical documentation for assigned features and changes.
• Communicate progress, questions, and blockers clearly.

We are looking for a Junior Node.js Engineer to join our team developing embedded Linux applications for monitoring equipment in electrical networks.

With guidance from experienced engineers, you will implement, test, and debug well-defined features for IoT embedded devices. This role offers exposure to the full software development lifecycle and an opportunity to build practical skills in embedded systems, web technologies, and professional engineering practices.

Required Qualifications

• Understanding of web fundamentals and REST APIs.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and confidence using a command-line environment.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals, source control, testing, and debugging.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn unfamiliar technologies.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD, or GitLab.
• Basic understanding of Ethernet, serial communication, or TLS/SSL.
• Interest in IoT, embedded Linux, or hardware-software integration.
• Familiarity with Agile teamwork and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
