Job summary

Akamai is seeking a Senior II Software Engineer to join our Network Operations Systems Group in a remote Poland setting. You will design, develop, and maintain high-availability distributed systems with web and console interfaces, collaborating with international teams.

Requirements include a CS degree, 7+ years on Linux/Unix, and 7+ years in Python, Go, or shell scripting, plus knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and TLS/SSL, and version control with Git and Perforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 7+ years development experience on Linux/Unix platforms.
• 7+ years programming in Python, Go and/or shell scripting.
• Proficiency with TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS and TLS/SSL protocols.
• Experience with Git/Stash and Perforce version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, and implement high availability systems software.
• Support the full product life cycle from ideation to operation.
• Improve testing, deployment, monitoring and maintenance capabilities.
• Mentor less experienced engineers to ensure quality solutions.
• Evaluate emerging trends and technologies related to network operations and automation.
