Job summary

Akamai's Cloud Technology Group—Compute division seeks a strategic, hands-on leader to shape the next generation control plane. You will design and scale a globally deployed, multi-tenant platform built on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies, aligning architecture with business needs.

You will mentor engineers, drive automation, set SLOs/KPIs, participate in on-call rotations, and collaborate across Engineering, Product, and Support to deliver reliable, scalable services.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and operating a globally deployed, multi-tenant cloud platform built on Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Strong ability to build automation and tooling to reduce toil and accelerate incident response.
• Proven track record creating and maintaining SLOs and KPIs and collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Support teams.

• Contributing to the development and operation of a globally deployed, multi-tenant platform built on Kubernetes and other cloud-native technologies
• Building automation and tooling to reduce operational toil, improve deployment safety, and accelerate incident response
• Creating and maintaining SLOs and KPIs, collaborating with Engineering, Product, and Support teams
• Participating in on-call rotations, guiding restoration and repair of service-impacting issues
