Kyndryl Global Services Delivery Centre Polska Sp. z o.o in Poland is seeking a Senior IBM i Administrator & Power Systems Infrastructure Engineer to lead IBM i environments, ensure platform stability, security, and performance, and drive continuous improvement.

You will own IBM Power and IBM i configuration, manage HMC, VIOS, and PowerVM, and coordinate with SAN/storage teams to optimize capacity and resilience. The role emphasizes automation, monitoring, and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Strong experience administering IBM i (AS/400, iSeries) environments in medium to large enterprises.
• Solid knowledge of IBM Power Systems architecture and infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with HMC administration, VIOS management, and PowerVM virtualization.
• Experience planning and executing IBM i OS upgrades and PTF maintenance.
• Lifecycle maintenance across IBM Power servers, firmware, HMC, VIOS, IBM i, and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Manage IBM Power Systems infrastructure, including Power servers, HMC, VIOS, LPARs, and PowerVM.
• Plan and execute IBM i OS upgrades, PTF maintenance, security updates, and lifecycle activities.
• Lead infrastructure modernization, migrations, hardware refreshes, and platform upgrades.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and drive permanent resolutions.
• Design and implement disaster recovery, backup, and high-availability solutions (PowerHA, replication).
• Coordinate zoning, masking, mapping, and storage allocation with SAN/storage teams for IBM Power and IBM i.
