Our team is looking for a Senior Golang Developer for one of our clients.

Our client is one of the TOP-5 global management consulting firms considered to be among the most prestigious ones in the world. Hundreds of customers from Fortune-500, including the largest global financial institutions, the world’s top media companies, technology companies and federal government agencies rely on our client’s proven platform and services.

The project is a platform currently in active development that helps accelerate and enhance expert engagement workflows. It enables users to query vendors, read transcripts from past calls, discover experts, schedule and conduct expert calls, and browse current project transcripts – all within a secure environment ensuring fast, high-quality insights.

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Golang
• Contribute to system architecture, ensuring scalability, fault tolerance, and reliability
• Participate in technical design discussions and propose backend solutions
• Review code and improve development practices and code quality standards
• Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery and deployment
• Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide efficient, long-term solutions
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical documentation
• Optimize performance and resource usage in distributed systems

Our expectations of the candidate:

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong focus on backend development
• Strong expertise in Golang and hands‑on experience building production‑grade backend services
• Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and integrating microservices
• Solid understanding of backend system design, scalability, reliability, and performance
• Strong experience with database design and performance optimization, especially PostgreSQL
• Practical experience with MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, indexing, and transaction management
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with API gateways (e.g. Kong or similar)
• Ability to review code, improve development practices, and uphold high code quality standards
• Experience working in distributed, cross‑functional teams (collaboration with QA, DevOps, Product)
• Nice to have: basic to intermediate working knowledge of Python and TypeScript (including React), sufficient to understand adjacent services and frontend components and collaborate effectively when needed
• English: Upper-Intermediate or higher
• Problem‑solving style of work
• Ability to clarify requirements with the customer
• Willingness to pair with other engineers when solving complex issues
