CodiLime is seeking a Software Engineer to design, implement, and optimize large-scale global routing platforms. You will develop distributed networking software and core routing tools, with a focus on Golang, Envoy, and WASM filters in a geo-distributed environment.

The role requires deep experience with Envoy Proxy, control plane design, Linux networking, and proficiency in Rust and C/C++. Flexible remote options are available, with opportunities for internal training and growth.

Qualifications

• 5+ years for Senior or 5+ years for Mid level experience required.
• Golang proficiency with distributed systems design.
• Experience in geo-distributed networking software and solutions.
• Deep Envoy Proxy knowledge: Data Plane and Go Control Plane.
• Strong understanding of L3–L7 protocols and observability.
• Solid Linux networking, plus eBPF and kernel tuning.
• Rust experience for Envoy WASM filters.
• Fundamental C/C++ for low-level integrations.

Renumeration: B2B Contract: 18 000 - 25 000 PLN + VAT

Your role

As a part of the project team, you will be responsible for:

• Designing, building, deploying, and optimizing large-scale global traffic routing platforms
• Developing high-performance distributed traffic infrastructure
• Building and managing large-scale distributed systems and networking software
• Executing complex migrations of legacy network systems and codebases in large-scale environments
• Developing core network routing tools

Do we have a match?

As a Software Engineer, you must meet the following criteria:

• At least 5 years for Mid / 7 years for Senior of relevant work experience
• Proficiency in Golang with extensive experience in designing and building distributed systems
• At least 5 years of experience in building and managing large-scale geo-distributed networking software and solutions with relevant software design and development experience
• Deep understanding of environments built around Envoy. Solid experience with Envoy Proxy (Data Plane) architecture combined with Go Control Plane
• Advanced knowledge of network protocols from L3 to L7, network infrastructure, and observability mechanisms
• Strong understanding of the Linux network stack, practical experience with eBPF, and hands-on skills in low-level socket/kernel performance tuning
• Practical knowledge of Rust specifically for developing and maintaining Envoy WASM filters
• Fundamental understanding of C and/or C++ to support low-level system integrations and debugging
