Job summary

Nearmap in Poland is seeking a Software Engineer on the API team to design and optimize data pipelines and geospatial queries for high-resolution imagery. You will collaborate with product to shape solutions from concept to production and improve API performance across multiple stacks.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in software engineering, 3+ years with Go, and strong cloud-native, containerized experience (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes).

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering experience with at least 3 years in Go.
• Experience with cloud environments, AWS preferred, using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Experience with containerization.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL databases; passion for continuous improvement and lean, agile practices.

Job Description

As a Software Engineer on our API team, you'll tackle the unique challenges of serving high-resolution aerial imagery and location data at scale—from designing efficient data pipelines to optimizing response times for complex geospatial queries.

You’ll collaborate directly with Product to shape solutions from concept to production, working across multiple technology stacks to solve complex technical challenges. Whether you're optimizing APIs for scale, architecting new microservices, or improving how developers integrate with our platform, your work will directly impact how businesses use location intelligence to make critical decisions

Qualifications

• 6+ years software engineering experience, including at least 3 years with Go
