Overview

Runwise is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer who is highly motivated, results-oriented, and passionate about building products that customers love. Runwise is a fast-paced, customer-focused climate-tech startup that controls and runs the key energy systems (heating, water, etc.) in 6,000+ buildings throughout the US. Runwise’s hardware and software service significantly reduces energy usage, lowers costs, and reduces carbon output. Runwise has offices in New York and Boston but operates as a remote-first product/engineering company.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing company focused on energy efficiency; you will work closely with our co-founder and sales leader, and your work will have a tangible impact on customers and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to our core Golang app and AWS infrastructure. Our serverless Go architecture powers our web, mobile web, and native mobile apps, as well as our APIs that interface with and process large data volumes from building computers and sensor networks.
• Contribute to our core Web App, in React and TypeScript, used by internal staff and customers to manage heating, cooling, and monitoring services in buildings.
• Contribute to our Runwise Smart Platform, in Python, used by customers and technicians to control heating, cooling, and monitoring services in buildings.
• Improve Operational Excellence by enhancing monitoring and alerting across cloud and IoT infrastructure.

Who you are / Qualifications

• You have 2+ years of hands-on experience writing in Golang and/or Python
• You have 2+ years of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript web applications
• You have 5+ years of hands-on experience as an engineer
• You are passionate about building new products and working with systems at scale
• You have experience with AWS services such as DynamoDB, SQS, AWS Lambda, EC2, and CloudFormation

Salary

$140,000-$200,000 (varied on experience and market rate)
