Job summary

ITConnect is seeking a Java developer to join a team maintaining and enhancing an enterprise application used by large corporate customers to manage accounts, payments, and file transfers.

You will work on microservice and monolith components, implement new features, fix production incidents, and ensure compliance changes. Experience with Maven, JSP, Spring, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Angular, and Jasmine is valued, along with agile collaboration.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java 7/8 and Spring frameworks is required.
• Proficient in REST API design and implementation.
• Solid unit testing experience and test-driven development.
• Familiarity with agile software development processes.
• Ability to analyze and work with legacy codebase.

Job description

Application for large corporate customers to manage account payments and transfer files without contacting the bank. The application provides an external portal that allows performing transfers and confirmations, as well as various account and file management functions.

The team works with services organized within both microservice and monolith architecture and is modernising the old system to transition to a new one.

• Maintenance and enhancements of the application, including new features, bug fixes, fixes for production incidents and compliance/mandatory changes required by the business.
• Development and improvement of a variety of services organized within both microservice and monolith architecture.
• Collaboration, ownership, passion and courage.
• Experience with Maven, JSP, JS, Java 7/8, Git, Spring Framework, Spring Boot and SQL (+5y).
• Experience in writing REST API.
• Backend services design and implementation according to a given specification.
• Unit tests implementation.
• Experience with Angular and Jasmine (+2y).
• Experience in working in an agile environment.
• Willingness to analyse and work with legacy code.
