Tripadvisor is seeking a product-focused Senior Software Engineer to join the Experiences Engineering team. This full-stack role centers on Java, SQL, React, AWS, and AI tools, with a remote-first model and optional on-site gatherings in Kraków or other hubs.

You will lead end-to-end features, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product, data, and ops to drive scalable travel experiences for millions of users worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience building high-performance backend systems in cloud environments.
• Ability to translate strategy into technical specifications and lead initiatives.
• Proficiency in at least one modern backend language and modern frontend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design of highly visible features with a focus on security, privacy, and performance.
• Collaborate with Product and Data teams to turn business goals into technical specs.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and raise code quality standards.
• Leverage AI tools to plan approaches and set reliability standards.
• Define operational strategies and craft fault-tolerant architectures.
• Identify simplifications to reduce legacy code and accelerate delivery.
