Job summary

Tenneco is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer / Tech Lead to own and shape the next generation of its web platform. You will design and deliver complete frontend, backend, and infrastructure, while guiding a team of engineers and driving architectural decisions.

You will work across global teams, implement microservices and event-driven patterns, and contribute to AI and automation initiatives, with a focus on high standards and scalable delivery in a modern cloud stack.

Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of commercial full stack development experience.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python (Django, FastAPI) and React.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker - building and shipping containerized applications to production.
• Git and GitHub - branching strategies, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience designing and building microservices and event-driven architecture.
• English min. B2 - used daily.

• Owns the whole development process - idea, architecture, technology and UI decisions, implementation, and delivery.

Tenneco is a global automotive company undergoing a digital transformation to meet the demands of today's market and growing competition.

Our engineering team develops advanced web applications - engineering calculators, data processing pipelines, dashboards, and AI solutions - used daily by engineers in technical centers around the world.

We don't build software for the shelf - our applications are used every day and directly affect how fast engineers get their work done. We build them on a modern stack, with no legacy systems to maintain and no technical debt to work around, and we intend to keep it that way.

We are building our platform as microservices, so solid experience with that style of architecture - and the strategies that come with it - is essential. We are looking for an experienced developer to design and deliver the next generation platform.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a self-sufficient Full Stack Developer with leadership skills who:

• Owns the whole development process - the idea, the architecture, the technology and UI decisions, the implementation, and the delivery
• Builds complete applications - frontend, backend, and the infrastructure they run on
• Holds the team to a high standard - reviews code, defines how things are done, and keeps improving it
• Works efficiently with GitHub - branching strategies, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines
• Responsibilities
• Work with stakeholders across different teams to understand what they need, propose solutions, and turn requirements into a concrete plan - including bringing in new ideas of your own
• Build and ship the solution: frontend, backend, and infrastructure - owning the architecture, technology choices, containerization, and deployment to production
• Review code, define development standards, and hold the team to them
• Mentor junior developers and continuously improve both the team and the platform
• Design and build AI agents and AI-driven automation that remove manual, repetitive work from engineering processes

Required Qualifications

• Min. 5 years of commercial full stack development experience
