Job summary

Trading 212 is seeking a senior Frontend Lead to steer the technical direction of a key frontend domain across mobile and web, from shaping requirements to delivery and ownership.

You will drive the architecture of our frontend monorepo and mentor a compact cross-functional team with short release cycles. The role requires deep TypeScript and React Native expertise and strong state-management knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience leading the development and release of a complex, high-demand client-facing frontend product.
• Experience leading, coaching and mentoring software engineers toward delivering high-quality software.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript and React Native (or React/Next.js).
• Advanced knowledge of state management patterns and solutions — TanStack Query, Zustand, Redux/RTK, or similar.
• Strong understanding of cross-platform frontend issues such as performance optimisation, rendering, animations, and offline behaviour.
• Experience designing scalable frontend solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical direction of a frontend domain spanning mobile and web across the product lifecycle.
• Drive the architecture of the frontend monorepo for iOS, Android, Web, and Desktop.
• Lead a compact, autonomous cross-functional team with mentorship and coaching.
• Develop holistic solutions considering business goals, UX constraints, platform limitations, and architecture.
• Build for performance, accessibility and resilience across devices and conditions.
• Identify and drive frontend improvements to raise quality across the team.
