GSK in Poznań seeks a General Medicines Senior Finance Partner to drive performance across Europe One Finance. You will lead P&L oversight, budgeting, and forecasting while partnering with commercial, supply chain, and insights teams to optimize resources and margins.

The role requires 5+ years in financial roles, strong modelling skills, and ability to influence stakeholders in a matrix organisation. A finance degree or professional qualification is essential.

Qualifications

• Finance or business degree and/or professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA or international equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience in financial roles.
• Experience in financial modelling and forecasting to drive decision making.
• Understanding of financial systems and processes (CERPS, Bison, CF/CCC, VISTA).

Responsibilities

• Drive performance: analyze sales, SG&A, profit, headcount, and working capital to support targets.
• Manage P&L and headcount with the business unit.
• Assist annual budget and resource allocation for cross-functional teams.
• Support monthly forecasts, launch forecasts, and annual plans.
• Deliver timely financial reporting and provide insights for decision making.
• Collaborate on pricing governance and market analysis.
• Model ROI and identify opportunities to improve margins and cash flow.

Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, the role of General Medicines Senior Finance Partner is an opportunity to join the Europe One Finance community and drive performance across our region.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Brand Performance

• Performance Analysis: Contribute to the performance management and analysis of business results, building strong understanding of market dynamics (Sales, SG&A, Profit, Headcount, Working Capital)
• P&L Management: Full understanding of the Business unit P&L and headcount, supporting the business in achieving their targets
• Resource Allocation: Support the business in the annual budget setting process for the cross functional therapy area team, with focus on optimising resource allocation and management of risks and opportunities. Support the commercial team in tracking their expenses throughout the year, proactively identifying opportunities.

Financial Forecasting & Reporting

• Forecasting (Core Commercial Cycle): Partner with commercial, supply chain, and insights teams to deliver monthly DRM, annual plans, and soft-landing estimates, understanding and challenging assumptions and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Launch Support: Support launch forecasts for pipeline opportunities, utilizing data sources to model volume assumptions and impact of pricing decisions.
• Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial analysis at month-end, providing insights to analyse performance and support financial entries.

Pricing Optimization & Market Dynamics

• Pricing Governance: Partner with Market Access and other experts to support pricing approval governance, performing analysis of impact of pricing decisions to support decision making.
• Market Analysis: Understand overall market dynamics, relative market positioning of products, market access situation, and future trends.

Investment & Growth Opportunities

• ROI Analysis: Model investment and growth opportunities using ROI analysis, supporting the business in making investment decisions when opportunities arise
• Margin & Cashflow Enhancement: Deliver margin enhancement initiatives through innovative cost control and utilise both internal and external benchmarking for best-in-class cost management.

Projects and Ad Hoc Analysis

• Project Management: Work on ad hoc projects, supporting the Finance Director and leadership team with management presentations showcasing critical insights and recommendations
• Ad Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad hoc financial and business modelling to support the General Medicines business unit leads and other stakeholders

Process optimization:

• Drive continuous improvement of finance processes by identifying inefficiencies, implementing standardized best practices, and measuring impact on accuracy and cycle time.
• Lead the design and deployment of automation solutions to reduce manual work, strengthen controls, and enable real-time, data-driven decision making.

Coaching and development:

• Support coaching junior team members, providing structured feedback, delegating stretching responsibilities, and supporting their development to build a high-performing, future-ready General Medicines finance team.

Applicant Profile

Basic Qualifications/ Experience:

• Finance or business degree and/or Professional qualification (e.g. ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA or international equivalent).
• 5+ years’ experience in financial roles
• Experience in financial modelling and forecasting, and using analysis to drive decision making
• Demonstrated experience in financial planning/ forecasting, including understanding of financial systems and processes (CERPS, Bison, CF/CCC, VISTA)

• Ability to connect with and influence business stakeholders at all levels.
