Job summary

Arista Networks is seeking a skilled DevOps/SRE engineer to join the EngProd initiative. You will help design, build, and operate the systems used by Arista’s development teams, focusing on observability, scalability, and performance of CI/CD tooling.

You will own projects from definition to deployment, collaborating across teams, and may transition to other areas over time as needs evolve. A strong automation and scripting background is essential.

Qualifications

Minimum 4+ years commercial DevOps/SRE experience.
Solid experience with Jenkins and GitHub, with Atlassian stack familiarity.
UNIX/Linux systems administration (RedHat/CentOS preferred).
Scripting with Python or Bash or one high-level language (Go, C++, etc.).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with CI/CD orchestration and configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Salt, Chef).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Experience with Makefile/make is a plus.

Responsibilities

Build, integrate and maintain internal development and testing tools and infrastructure.
Improve maintainability of the build system and CI/CD pipelines.
Evaluate and adopt new tools to accelerate engineering efforts.
Increase speed of information flow back to development teams through build systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve system and network issues.
Adhere to infrastructure-as-code principles.
Proactively ensure high availability of systems and infrastructure.
Design and implement new systems and infra projects.
