About The Role
We are seeking a Security Operations Engineer II to specialize in security event triaging and incident response as part of our 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC), based in Warsaw, Poland.
In This Role, You Will
- Be part of a 24/7/365 SOC, rotating on‑call schedules for overnights and weekends, ensuring compliance with Polish labor regulations.
- Perform initial triage and investigation of security alerts using established playbooks and SOPs across Linux, MacOS, and Kubernetes environments, escalating complex incidents to senior engineers.
- Utilize and query SIEM, EDR, and other security tools to detect, investigate, and respond to suspicious activity in real time.
- Support incident response activities—analysis, containment, and remediation—and contribute to detection content (detections‑as‑code) with senior team review.
- Contribute findings and observations to post‑incident reviews to improve security defenses.
- Document investigations thoroughly and keep runbooks and SOPs accurate and up to date.
- Collaborate with threat intelligence and detection engineering teams to stay aware of emerging threats.
- Continuously build skills across the threat landscape, security tooling, and CoreWeave's environment.
Who You Are
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 1–2+ years of experience in security operations, SOC analysis, incident response, or forensics (relevant internship or academic experience considered).
- Working knowledge of Linux and MacOS systems, including logging and common forensic artifacts.
- Exposure to Kubernetes and interest in securing containerized environments.
- Familiarity with modern security tools and platforms such as SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, and firewalls.
- Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and other security technologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and turn it into actionable insights.
- Good communication and collaboration skills, able to stay effective in high‑pressure situations.
Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range for this role is zł189,000 to zł252,000, with additional rewards including a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program.
