As an S3 Connected Health Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer, you will join our Embedded Department and work with our highly skilled development teams across a variety of medical device areas, including drug delivery, medication adherence, implantable systems, and remote patient monitoring and support.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Working as the Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer, you will:
- Develop high-quality software for Healthcare Devices according to medical standards
- Make key technology recommendations and decisions throughout the project lifecycle
- Effectively communicate with customers and the project team to solve complex technical challenges
- Define, implement, and challenge system and component requirements
- Design and follow the Technical Architecture through concept, development, integration, and delivery phases
- Strive to ensure that best practice is followed, and suggest improvements as necessary
Requirements:
- At least 7 years of experience working as an Embedded Software Engineer or similar position
- Considerable knowledge of C/C++ and experience in Structured and Object-Oriented Analysis and Design
- Experience in embedded hardware platforms such as ARM Cortex-M or similar
- Degree in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- The ability to work independently with little supervision and aware of business needs
- Proactive, open, reliable team player
Experience in any of the following areas is a distinct advantage:
- Experience in applications using RTOS, DSP, Bluetooth Low Energy, MCU security, Memory management
- Understanding of hardware components, electrical schematics, and laboratory equipment
- Knowledge and experience in Python, Unit testing, and Continuous Integration environments
- Experience in development, integration and configuration of Linux-based platforms and build environments (Yocto, buildroot, etc)
- Proven delivery of successful products to market, working across the entire project lifecycle
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, life science, or digital health industry, experience with ISO13485 and IEC62304
