Job summary

Qemetica is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Lead for large-scale Waste-to-Energy projects in Poland. You will head electrical design for power and heat generation systems, coordinate with EPC contractors and internal teams, and drive cost optimization while ensuring quality, safety and schedule adherence.

The role requires a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, 5+ years in electrical engineering with 3+ years in energy/WtE, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, or related technical field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering with minimum 3 years in energy or Waste-to-Energy sector.
• Strong knowledge of power engineering, Waste to Energy plants, and power/heat generation technologies.
• Experience coordinating complex engineering projects with EPC contractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong analytical, planning, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills; ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Results-oriented, flexible, resilient, able to work under pressure.
• Very good command of English, minimum B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design in large-scale WtE projects, including power and heat generation systems.
• Coordinate and manage electrical aspects of projects, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Prepare and evaluate ToR for strategic WtE projects and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Ensure electrical designs meet specifications, quality standards, budgets and schedules.
• Support negotiations with contractors and suppliers.
• Identify risks and opportunities and develop mitigation measures.
• Oversee document control and configuration management for electrical documentation.
• Coordinate contractors’ deliverables and integrate them into the project plan.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health and Safety requirements.
• Lead RoE activities by capturing lessons learned and driving continuous improvement.
• Deliver cost-effective engineering solutions meeting stakeholder expectations and sustainability goals.
