Job Description:

The CAE FEA Engineer is responsible for leading and conducting product design and development through computer-based design analysis activities. This role primarily consists of using state of the art FEA Analysis tools, such as ANSYS CAE/multi-physics modeling techniques, to perform system-level and component analyses on automotive driveline products such as gearboxes and electric drive modules. Typical tasks include structural analysis, loads determination, results analysis, fatigue life predictions, correlation testing, along with data interpretation and report writing. The person in this role must support Design-responsible engineers to release designs which meet or exceed targets. CAE FEA Engineer must also support CAE group and product design group growth through internal infrastructure, tools and methodology development. The person in this role must also demonstrate characteristics which foster team progress, show diligence in daily tasks, is able to mentor other team members, takes the initiative to take on challenging assignments, and has the will and ability to create opportunities

Key responsibilities

  • Finite element analysis and analytical calculations to support the Engineering problems in product design & development and production stages of automotive driveline components.
  • Support design validation & testing procedures and Root cause analysis for product failure using FEA.
  • Execute projects in structural FEA (static and dynamic), NVH analysis to support NBO/awarded/post-production programs
  • P ublish analysis results summary in design release reviews
  • Support development and implementation of CAE group functional and technical capabilities; carry and manage CAE group internal initiatives.
  • Provide input/direction on product/component design improvement using FEA results.
  • Participate and support in global COE activites . S upport CAE group and product design group growth through internal infrastructure, tools, and methodology development
  • Write reports for summarizing the analysis results and reviewing all project-related analysis results for ensuring the accuracy of project reports.
  • Ability to support and provide inputs to ED&D / Budget forecast

What we are looking for

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering , Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of related engineering work experience is required
  • Experience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems is required
  • Experience in linear & Non-linear structural analysis including fatigue analysis
  • Experience in performing NVH analysis on driveline systems
  • Proficient with Multi-Body Dynamic analysis
  • Experience in Ansys Software suite

Preferred Requirements

  • Masters or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field
  • Experience in EV Driveline and/or ICE Driveline systems is required
  • Highly proficient in linear & Non-linear structural analysis including fatigue analysis
  • Highly proficient in performing NVH analysis on driveline systems
  • Highly proficient with Multi-Body Dynamic analysis
  • Highly proficient in Ansys Software suite
