Job summary

N-iX is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer in Kraków to design and deliver a secure file transfer platform for a key financial services partner. The role focuses on isolated AWS environments, private connectivity, and rigorous security controls.

You will contribute to architecture, migration, testing, and production support. Responsibilities include designing BGP-based routing, managing VPCs and Transit Gateway, and integrating transfer services with S3.

Qualifications

• Extensive production experience with AWS infrastructure and networking.
• Strong knowledge of VPCs, Transit Gateway, IPsec VPNs, BGP, and routing.
• Experience with Amazon S3, IAM, KMS, CloudWatch, and VPC endpoints.
• Experience with managed file transfer platforms and external partner integrations.
• Strong network, Linux, and application troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with security controls, monitoring, recovery testing, and incident response.
• Strong technical writing and stakeholder coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement BGP routing over redundant IPsec VPN tunnels.
• Design isolated AWS environments with VPCs, Transit Gateway, and controlled routing.
• Implement a secure managed file transfer solution based on partner protocol requirements.
• Integrate file transfer services with Amazon S3 and internal systems.
• Provision and manage AWS infrastructure through infrastructure as code.
• Implement access controls, encryption, secrets management, logging, and monitoring.
• Define file validation, recovery, reconciliation, and failure-handling processes.
• Plan and complete migration with parallel testing and rollback procedures.
• Produce architecture diagrams, network plans, implementation documents, and operational runbooks.
• Coordinate delivery with partner, security, network, application, and platform teams.

About the Role

We are looking fot an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with strong AWS networking, infrastructure automation, and managed file transfer experience.

The engineer will design and deliver a secure file transfer platform for a critical external financial services partner. The solution will use private connectivity, BGP routing, Amazon S3, and an isolated AWS environment.

The engineer will separate partner traffic from business-critical production traffic. The role includes architecture, implementation, testing, migration, documentation, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement BGP routing over redundant IPsec VPN tunnels.
• Design isolated AWS environments with VPCs, Transit Gateway, and controlled routing.
• Implement a secure managed file transfer solution based on partner protocol requirements.

• AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty certification.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional certification.

NB! Working hours: 11:00 am - 20:00 CET, Monday to Friday - availability during these hours is mandatory.
