Job summary

Espeo Software, a technology company near Poznań, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer. The role focuses on cloud infrastructure on AWS, IaC with Terraform, and Kubernetes administration. The position is 50% FTE with potential to move to 100% FTE, remote with occasional Poznań office attendance, and Poland-based.

Requirements include 5+ years on AWS in production, Docker, Helm, CI/CD with GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and strong Linux expertise. English and Polish at least upper-intermediate.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS in production environments (EKS, EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM).
• Terraform proficiency including module development and state management.

Responsibilities

• Designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS, VPC, RDS, IAM).
• Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform (module design, state management, refactoring).
• Administering Kubernetes clusters, Helm charts, and Ingress controllers.
• Building automation scripts in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Designing and managing CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, emphasizing automation and reliability.
• Advanced Linux administration: performance tuning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Setting up observability and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Conducting client consultations and understanding business requirements.
• Ensuring cloud security best practices: AWS Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF.
• Managing secrets with HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager.
• Integrating SAST/DAST/container security scanning into pipelines

Here’s a set of skills we require:

• Cloud Infrastructure: 5+ years of hands‑on experience with AWS in production environments (EKS, EC2, VPC, RDS, IAM)

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong proficiency in Terraform, including module development, state management and infrastructure maintenance

• Containerization & Orchestration: Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes administration, including Helm charts and Ingress controllers

• Scripting & Automation: Strong Bash skills and proficiency in Python or Go for automation and infrastructure management

• CI/CD: Hands‑on experience designing, implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI

• Linux Administration: Strong Linux administration skills, including troubleshooting, performance tuning and system maintenance

• Monitoring & Observability: Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring solutions using Prometheus and Grafana.

• At least Upper-Intermediate level of English and Polish languages

• Strong problem‑solving and architectural thinking

• End‑to‑end ownership: from infrastructure design to deployment and monitoring

Security & DevSecOps (Strong Plus)

• Experience implementing AWS security best practices and services (IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF)

• Knowledge of secrets management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager

• Experience integrating security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, container scanning) into CI/CD pipelines.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Knowledge of Google Workspace administration.
