Who Are We?

Scaleworks is a software fund that acquires and invests in B2B SaaS companies. We are investors and operators who scale great products into great businesses. We apply a hands‑on operational model where we take substantial positions in our investments, focus on markets we can lead in, and bring together teams of experienced B2B SaaS operators to help us get there. It puts businesses in a strong position to succeed, using low to no debt and reinvesting every dollar of profit back into growth.

For one of our portfolio companies, we are looking for a DevOps Engineer.

Your Role

You will join a lean engineering organization and take ownership of cloud infrastructure, delivery pipelines, database operations, and observability for a revenue‑generating production platform. This is a hands‑on role with direct exposure to engineering leadership. You will make infrastructure decisions, document them, and carry them through to production. The scope is broad by design: infrastructure, databases, security operations, and the automation that ties it all together.

What You Will Work On
  • Operating and evolving a production AWS environment: EC2, load balancing, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC networking, and infrastructure automation
  • Administering and tuning databases across multiple engines in production: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL, including performance work, replication health, backup and recovery, and cost control
  • Supporting analytical data workloads, including Snowflake‑based pipelines and reporting infrastructure
  • Building and maintaining the observability layer: monitoring, alerting, SLOs, synthetic checks, and availability reporting that supports customer‑facing commitments
  • Owning CI/CD pipelines end to end, from build tooling and static checks to deployment automation and rollback procedures
  • Applying AI tooling to DevOps work in practice: AI‑assisted incident analysis, infrastructure code generation and review, automated runbook execution, and agent‑based workflows for routine operations
  • Supporting a SOC 2 compliance program on the infrastructure side: log retention, access control, asset inventory, and audit evidence collection
  • Planning and executing maintenance windows, OS image lifecycle management, and database upgrades with minimal customer impact

Our Stack

AWS, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Snowflake, GitHub, containerized CI/CD, compliance automation tooling, and a modern AI‑assisted engineering workflow used across the team.

Requirements
  • 4+ years of hands‑on experience running production infrastructure on AWS
  • Strong database administration experience across relational and document engines: PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and MongoDB in production, not just local development
  • Experience with Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse platforms
  • Practical experience applying AI tools to DevOps work: LLM‑assisted troubleshooting, AI code review, workflow automation with agents, or similar. We want someone who already works this way, not someone waiting for permission to start
  • Solid scripting and infrastructure‑as‑code skills; your changes should be reviewable and repeatable
  • Experience building monitoring and alerting from the ground up
  • Working knowledge of compliance‑driven operations (SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar)
  • Fluent English, spoken and written. You will communicate daily with US‑based colleagues and your documentation is part of your work product
  • Comfort working in a distributed team with regular overlap with US business hours
Our Offer
  • Development fund of 3k PLN per year per head
  • Flexibility in choosing the type of contract
  • Paid holiday
  • Private healthcare (Luxmed via Warta)
  • Sports card (Multisport)
  • Free English classes
  • Team building and socializing events
  • Competitive salary
  • Udemy access etc.
