Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the DevOps team, supporting Alibaba Cloud environments.

You will enable secure, scalable platform operations through infrastructure automation, CI/CD, and proactive environment management. Collaborating with engineering, architecture, and project stakeholders, you will implement and continuously improve DevOps practices, aiming for deployment efficiency, stability, and operational resilience across the project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer.
• Experience with Alibaba Cloud.
• Experience with CI/CD using Alibaba Cloud DevOps.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with Terraform.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Use, write, and update reusable IaC in Terraform.
• Administer and optimize Alibaba Cloud services (Web Apps, Function Compute, KMS).
• Manage and optimize Message Queue and Alibaba Cloud Logic Apps.
• Use, write, and update Alibaba Cloud DevOps pipelines (mostly YAML).
• Monitor running environments in Alibaba Cloud and adjust as needed.
• Take care of releases (STG, PRD) and improve deployment processes.
• Contribute as a key member of the DevOps Chapter and participate in initiatives.
• Troubleshoot issues and assist development teams.

The role focuses on enabling secure, scalable, and reliable platform operations through infrastructure automation, CI/CD, environment management, and operational support.
