Job summary

Box, a leader in Intelligent Content Management, seeks a Senior Software Engineer for its Desktop Applications team in Warsaw. You will design, implement, and ship Box Drive, Box Tools, and Box for Office across Windows and macOS, bridging native and React Native code while ensuring performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional desktop software development experience.
• Proficient in C++, C#, and/or Swift with strong software design principles.
• Experience building and shipping desktop applications on Windows and macOS.
• Comfortable across the full desktop stack: VFS, OS integrations, networking, UI.
• Must speak English proficiently.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and ship high-quality features for Box's desktop apps (Box Drive, Box Tools, Box for Office) on Windows and macOS.
• Work across the desktop stack: VFS, data persistence, OS integrations, network, sync, UI.
• Contribute to cross-platform development using React Native for desktop.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA, and designers to translate requirements into robust software.
• Lead design discussions, architecture reviews, and code reviews to uphold quality.
• Diagnose and resolve performance, reliability, and compatibility issues affecting millions of users.
• Participate in on-call rotation and team meetings.
