Job summary

TechnipFMC plc in Krakow is seeking a Senior Design Engineer on a 12-month maternity cover contract. Hybrid role, onshore subsea design work with an international team.

You will design equipment from concept through manufacturing support and contribute to documentation and design reviews. Requirements include a BA/MA in Engineering and at least 6 years in product design and development, with fluency in English and Polish.

Responsibilities

• Design subsea equipment from concept to release for manufacturing.
• Create products per design specs and standards.

• Produce and verify documentation: 3D models, drawings, layouts; perform FEA as needed.
• Maintain user/engineering/service documentation and participate in reviews.
• Conduct design reviews and risk assessments; meet deadlines and budgets.

Job Purpose

You will be part of an international team of experts developing products and services from concept to operations and work closely with our Service Centers to drive continuous improvement. The position is offered on a 12-month replacement contract.

Job Description

• Designing subsea equipment for oil & gas industry from concept phase through releasing it for manufacturing & providing life of field support.
• Designing products in accordance with design specifications and engineering standards.
• Cooperating within the Value Stream Engineering team, with project teams, Service Sites, and other cross-functions teams.
• Taking responsibility for product documentation required for procurement, fabrication, testing including:
  • Product quality requirements
  • 3D models, drawings and layouts of single components, assemblies & systems
  • Verification of design using classical analysis techniques and/or FEA
  • Assembly, test & maintenance documentation
• Creating & maintaining user/engineering/service documentation
• Performing Product Design Reviews and Risk Assessments
• Executing work in order to deliver the design in compliance with requirements, within baseline dates and budgets
• Participating in technical meetings with other TechnipFMC Product Groups, Operations, Service Sites, Suppliers and Customers
• Defining assembly, disassembly and test requirements

Requirements

• BA/MA degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanics, Machine Design, Mechanical Engineering or similar)
• Minimum 6 years of experience in Product Design & Development
• You have the desire to work in a Multicultural and multi-functional team
• Good communication skills to discuss aspects of the design with stakeholders and lead design reviews
• You are proactive and able to identify and define your tasks
• You are flexible concerning job tasks and adapt well to changes
• Ability to work in challenging project environment, problem solving skills, accountability
• Experience in CAD software - preferably NX (creating models, drawings, assemblies, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Fluent English & Polish

Please note that this is a hybrid role requiring presence in the Krakow office 4 days per week.
